Our Story…

BuildSmart was an idea hatched by Glen Williamson.  His experience and passion for investing in property, combined with a newly acquired building qualification, were the perfect mix for a company.

Glen had a wealth of knowledge to share with investors and homeowners wishing to develop their properties.  Whether it be sub-dividing a site and building an additional dwelling or simply adding on to existing homes.  BuildSmart quickly built up a strong reputation as the go-to building company for property investors and renovators in Dunedin.

As the company grew, Glen quickly realised communication was an integral part of the building process.  He very cleverly introduced the use of video technology, ensuring clients are kept fully informed throughout their building process. Any variations that may arise in renovations are videoed, and a link is sent to the client, ensuring they are fully informed and part of the decision-making process.
